Senior Estimator
Location Illinois
Job Description Reports to the Estimating Manager, directs and prepares estimates that are provided by the Estimating Department. Represent the company during pre construction services performing value engineering, comparative and alternatives studies. Conduct quantity take-off and studies for all items incorporated in the project, anticipating details necessary to complete the project. Coordinate the work of estimating engineers and assistants. Maintain EEO compliances. Prepare preliminary estimates and studies during pre construction, monitor design development cost trends in order to detect over-runs and potential problem areas. Participate in the value engineering process. Develop, update and maintain unit cost figures. Interface with project owners and internal project team, provide timely and accurate reports, represent Turner at meetings, etc. Prepare General Conditions estimates. Interface with subcontractors and suppliers. Evaluate proposals relative to the scope of the work. Support Business Development in proposal presentations. Perform other duties as assigned.
